Hey there! My name is Alyssa Daubenspeck. I graduated from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania in 2020 majoring in Communication Design with a concentration in Graphic and Advertising design. I am currently a full-time Graphic Designer for PENN Entertainment; a company that owns and operates numerous casinos across the country. I am also a freelance graphic designer specializing in logo & brand identity, website design, illustration and print design just to name a few. Looking for an expert with diversified skill set? Then you are at the right place.
Listed below are some of my highlights:
Experience
Over my four-year college experience, I had the opportunity to be a Graphic Design Intern at Mitsubishi Advanced Chemicals, and Partner’s Design. where I designed a logo for an internal training program and worked with the training supervisor in creating presentations for new employees. I also interned at Partner’s Design where I helped create graphics for a local shopping plaza and Pretzel and Beer Fest.
Currently, I work for Penn National Gaming Inc. as a full-time Graphic Designer in their marketing department. I am apart of a team of designers that create marketing materials for the various casino and racing properties they own. We design billboards, postcards, posters, social ads and a plethora of other assets they might need.
When I am not designing for PENN Entertainment, I do freelance work for various other companies. Designing assets from business cards to websites to billboards. Anything a client requests I give 110% to give them exactly what they need. My portfolio displays perfectly my diversified set of skills and my ability to adjust my style to meet the individual needs of every client/company.
Skills
I am well-versed in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically, Illustrator, Photoshop and Indesign. I am also skilled in traditional illustration techniques including watercolor, pen & ink, charcoal etc. I have a knack for hand-done typography, as well as photography. Other than that, I am a perfectionist with an eye for detail and strong communication skills. My work ethic is unmatched. My ability to work full-time for a large company as well as be a full-time freelance artist is evidence of that!
Hobbies & Interests
I’ve always had the passion to create from painting and stippling to experimenting with pottery and stamp making. If I’m not doing that, well you’ll probably find me outside somewhere enjoying nature. My most adored outdoor activity is hiking; Ricketts Glen State Park in Benton, Pennsylvania is my favorite hiking destination so far. I also enjoy adrenaline-inducing activities such as white water rafting, bungee jumping, etc. Sky diving is next on my bucket list.
Fun Fact: I also enjoy collecting mugs. I have mugs from places I have visited personally, as well as mugs that were gifted to me from family and friends. I love mugs that have funky patterns or make reference to my favorite movies/shows, etc. The more unusual, the better!
